Understanding attachment dynamics

Our ability to allow closeness, build trust, and form relationships is strongly influenced by early attachment experiences. These attachment dynamics usually develop unconsciously and accompany us into adulthood. They affect how we deal with closeness and distance, how we experience conflict, and how secure we feel in relationships.
Some people crave intense closeness while simultaneously fearing being hurt. Others withdraw as soon as relationships become too committed. Such dynamics are not weaknesses, but rather expressions of inner defense mechanisms that have developed over the course of our lives.
In sessions, I support people in mindfully recognizing and understanding their individual attachment patterns. Within a safe and supportive environment, past relationship experiences can be reflected upon and reframed. This creates the opportunity to develop freer and more conscious forms of connection – with others and with oneself.
Attachment work is a process of self-discovery. It opens up the space to no longer live relationships based on old patterns, but from inner clarity and trust.
