The Invisible Bars

Many people believe they are confined by external circumstances — by their job, their relationships, their past, or by society’s expectations. Yet the most powerful limitations are often invisible. They are made of inner bars — structures we have quietly built ourselves.

BARS OF UNFREEDOM
These invisible bars are patterns of thought, beliefs and fears that have solidified over the years. Sentences such as “I can’t do that,” “That’s just the way I am,” or “It’s always been this way” act like delicate yet persistent rods, narrowing our freedom to act.
Because we carry them with us constantly, we eventually begin to take them for granted — almost as if they were part of our very nature.

The paradox is this: we are not only surrounded by these bars — we often maintain them ourselves. What is familiar provides a sense of security, even when it keeps us small. Change requires courage. And so we prefer to remain within the boundaries we know, rather than question whether they are still necessary at all.

The first step towards openness begins with awareness. The moment we recognise a thought as a thought — rather than as an unquestionable truth — a gap appears in the bars. Through that gap, light enters. We begin to see how often we limit ourselves, and at the same time we discover new possibilities.
FREEDOM
Inner freedom does not mean that all fears disappear. It means learning to move in spite of them. Each time we question an old belief, and every unfamiliar step we dare to take, loosens the bars a little more. Our inner space begins to expand.

Perhaps the most important realisation is this: the bars were never as solid as they seemed. They exist only for as long as we believe in them. And with every conscious step beyond them, we experience that life is greater than the limits we have set for ourselves.
YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND
Once contact with your true self has been established, you begin to notice that life becomes less and less about seeking validation from others. You start to live from your inner values — from love, compassion, clarity, and the sense of being connected to something greater than yourself.
These values arise from a level of consciousness that is accessible to all human beings. Anyone can discover them within themselves, if they are willing to embark on the journey back to who they truly are.

In my sessions, I accompany people in rediscovering and deepening their access to this inner space.
Thank you sincerely for your interest in my work.

Warm regards,
Marc Altmann
