In this blog newsletter, I now write about the transformation of the “Intimidator.” What has unpleasant consequences on the fear side of polarity reveals itself as true power on the side of love. This becomes clear when we confront the hidden strength that lies within each of us. The same applies to the Intimidator.
THE INTIMIDATOR
Once the Intimidator connects with his true source of energy, he gradually gains self-confidence — a confidence that develops into genuine leadership qualities.
Decisive without being domineering, self-assured yet not arrogant, he finds it easier to embrace and even enjoy challenges, while also inspiring the cooperation of others. He becomes someone others naturally look to for guidance.
He knows how to use his abilities for the benefit of all and continually strives to refine his skills.
FROM LIFE
One of my clients once described himself as a former “pit bull on wheels” — someone who hardly ever lost an argument and who wholeheartedly indulged in the illusion of power over others. Bankruptcy and divorce proved equally humiliating for him and forced him to recognise how far his life had fallen out of balance.
For many people — and for him as well — it takes deeply traumatic and life-altering experiences to initiate true change.
Today, he is the owner and head of his own restaurant. He helps his employees connect with their own true source at work and make decisions from that inner centre. Reconnecting with his feelings — and the integrity he gained in relating to himself and others — freed him from his self-imposed exile.
SERVING THE COMMUNITY
Once the Intimidator has recognised himself and his true qualities, others are glad to be guided by him. Some of my female clients who lived out this pattern for a long time are now finally able to lead their own lives with strength and determination. Among them are remarkable company directors.
Behind every control drama lies a fear. When that fear is transformed into love, it leads us to our finest character qualities. So do not lose hope — stay engaged, and keep becoming more fully yourself.
CURIOSITY ABOUT THE PATH
Many people cannot imagine that an Intimidator could one day evolve into a person who stands in the world with love.
The good news is that many have already accomplished this transformation. They developed curiosity because someone believed in them.
When such individuals come into my sessions, they are often puzzled by the way I respond to them.
Because they are used to receiving criticism and judgment from many people, they are often quite surprised when they do not encounter this in my presence. This also shows me how hard the struggle in their lives truly is.
Without an environment that believes in them and meets them with love, these individuals have little chance of discovering their true qualities. However, this must always take place within a framework in which the environment does not suffer harm from the Intimidator.
In my sessions, people learn how to liberate the true power hidden within their unresolved themes.
