The Ego Begins to Crumble

In life, you too will experience times of upheaval. Some of these experiences leave deep marks upon you. If you are willing to truly look and understand what brokenness really means, a new level of consciousness can begin to unfold.

THE SHELL IS MEANT TO CRACK

Imagine an egg remaining an egg forever. The life developing beneath the shell would never have the opportunity to enter the world.

The same is true of the ego. It is a necessary part of your development. It provides the structure through which you gain experience. Yet there comes a time when your True Self is ready to emerge more fully, and the shell becomes too small.

If you identify only with the shell, its breaking will feel like a disaster. But if you recognise what has been growing beneath it, what appears to be a collapse becomes a birth.

WHAT IS TRAUMA?

When you train your body, muscle fibres are placed under stress and partially damaged. It is through this process that growth, adaptation and greater strength become possible.

If you focus only on the discomfort, you may lose sight of the purpose behind the training. Yet when you understand what the effort is leading towards, you remain committed and experience transformation.

The same can be true of emotional and spiritual crises. Despite their pain, they can open doors that were previously closed. Not because suffering itself is good, but because greater awareness can emerge through it.

A BREAKTHROUGH IN THE TRUE SENSE OF THE WORD

Growth requires change. It calls for letting go, breakthroughs and, at times, the dismantling of old structures.

When your ego begins to crumble and you feel hurt, disappointed or lost, you can learn to shift your perspective. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?”, you may begin asking, “What is life trying to show me?”

Over time, this attitude becomes natural.

Just as an experienced motorcycle racer no longer thinks consciously about every movement but rides in the flow of skill and instinct, you too can learn to trust the flow of life. What once felt like resistance gradually becomes surrender.

HOW DOES GOD DO THIS?

God does not wish to break your soul. He simply seeks to remove whatever separates you from it.

Often, these are the parts of us that cling to control, pride, power or fear. Not because they are evil, but because they limit us.

The more these outer layers begin to fall away, the more freely your true nature can unfold. You come to realise that heaven is not something that begins at some distant point in the future, but something that can be experienced in your consciousness here and now.

ONLY ONE STEP AWAY

The moment you choose to make love your primary way of seeing life, you have already begun the journey.

That does not mean challenges will disappear. You will still encounter tests and difficult seasons. Yet these experiences are not punishments. They are opportunities to deepen trust and strengthen your connection to what is real.

Some experiences make the ego smaller and the soul larger. What appears today as a breaking apart may later reveal itself as a liberation.

Perhaps the greatest gifts in life are sometimes hidden within those moments when something old can no longer remain.

In my sessions, people often discover a completely new way of understanding their own brokenness. It is frequently there that a path towards greater freedom, inner peace and deeper connection begins.

Thank you for your interest in my work.

Warm regards,

Marc Altmann
